Exit Point

Our courses are typically designed to be completed over two years. Both Year 1 and Year 2 are structured to provide you with the credits you need towards your VCE (including the VCE VM) or VPC.

Depending on your chosen pathway, you may choose to exit after completing Year 1 or withdraw before completing the full qualification. Exiting early means you will only receive the credits for the units you have completed, which may not be enough to meet the requirements of your VCE or VCE VM program.

It’s important to remember that Unit 1 and 2 subjects are usually studied in Year 1, and Unit 3 and 4 subjects are usually studied in Year 2. To successfully complete the VCE VM, you must complete a VET program at Certificate II level or above (at least 180 nominal hours).

If you do leave before completing the full qualification, you won’t lose the work you’ve already achieved. You will still receive a Statement of Attainment for any units of competency you have successfully completed.

HLTAID011 Provide First Aid and HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation

If one of these units are part of your VET program, you will be required to participate in the training as directed by your trainer.

Although there is no specific entry requirements or prerequisites, students you will be required to be able to physically perform CPR and First Aid demonstrations to the level required to meet the assessment requirements.

To successfully complete either of the above mentioned units of competency you will be required to complete the online learning module along with face to face delivery and assessment.

Industry Experience

Some VET programs require learners to undertake a work placement as a compulsory part of the course requirements, while other courses will be a voluntary component.

CRCIT courses offer all students the opportunity to undertake their practical assessments within fully operating business units.
